Renaissance Rebunzzle! The Wonders of Renaissance!

Happy Birthday to William Shatner!!!

     He is so nice!  When I managed an Italian restaurant in LA, in 2002, he and his wife came in just a bit earlier, to see if we could serve them before the dinner schedule began.  I stated, I was pretty sure, but I needed to check with the chef.  Long story short, the chef, Ace agreed, and we served them, before our dinner time began.

     Mr. Shatner thanked me, and insisted on giving me a $50 bill, because he stated it was thanks to me, he and his wife got to enjoy a wonderful, delicious dinner, without people (fans) chiming in.  He and his wife were so friendly and nice!

     Considering he's now 94; but still SO KIND!

     I added this bit, because I think it's a contributing action to Renaissance!

     Thank you, William Shatner!

     Now y'all can read on...

    Happy New Year/ Whatever month, day, etc😉! '

   Considering we all just have 24 hours day... '

       This post was initially to be about all the fun and good things I've seen and witnessed at the Bristol Renaissance Faire in  Kenosha, Wisconsin!

     The Renaissance is so fun!!!

     I have chatted with several folks there, and it's always been uplifting and fun!

     Highly recommend you visit!

     I admit I have a wish that every day I walked out out of our house, that our home town would look and be like the Renaissance!

     I am working on several different books, and a screenplay... that I truly hope to publish at some point.  Yet, since we all just have 24 hours a day, and when we have still so many other things to do, for ourselves and our loved ones... here's hoping!

     Since I have been also working on my blog, for more than a decade, I greatly appreciate/(&need) funding contributions.  Just fyi, I do report all for my tax reports.

     So please, remember, that nearly everything on my blog, is written and created by me.

     I have worked hard on my blog, pseudo freelance art, as my husband's done a good bit as well.  As I have stated before, I'm not the most tech savvy person... so considering all my struggles, amidst my photos, and my writing, I truly hope for pay🙏

~~~
     So, this will be the last post for a while.  However, there are fun parts of this blog!
     You can check out, several!  Including:
                                                                       The Recipes
and then, the "Pages" that are up on the homepage, but now, not as noticeable, the way they were before... so just for your fun...
     In a nutshell, I write when I can and hope to be published someday!
     Meanwhile, right now, I bartend~ & do whatever I can~(sell older, no longer wanted clothes, and items, etc.) to pay our bills, and get whatever our darlins, dog, my husband and I want and need.
     In 2013, I started this, Sadie's Gathering.
     I began Sadie's Gathering for several reasons.  I wanted to get back into the habit of writing everyday.
     Well, as the saying goes, "Life is what happens when you're making other plans."
     Long story short; I never worked in advertising, which is why I initially moved to Chicago.  Then I worked in restaurants, which contributed to why I have a wonderful family!  I've traveled quite a bit; and we all hope to travel more!
     I write as often as I can, and do a little drawing as well.
     When we lived in California, I wrote a children's book, THE ENCHANTING & MAGICAL HISTORY OF BUBBLES, in 2007, but has yet to be published.  Now, we can self publish, so hopefully it will be published relatively soon. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
     I've also been working on a novel, Happy Wives...A Work of Fiction.  A relatively comic book about related women and friends, and their adventures.  Hope to finish it rather soon, due to there are other tales I have started, along with a screenplay, which would feature a good bit of herstory.  The screenplay would be so fun; hoping to work with several artists of multiple talents!
     So, we'll see what's next in my journey.
     With my blog, Sadie's Gathering, I've tried to create such, where people from many walks of life, come to see what's up, here.
     I worked to make it reminiscent, of when we had time to sit down and chat with friends/family we'd laugh with and just shoot the breeze, so to speak.  Either with coffee, lemonade or a couple of adult beverages.
     So, pull up a chair, and come sit for a spell😉
     Hope you and yours find silver linings to whatever comes your way!
     Bless you, & Cheerio!
PS: Will greatly appreciate if you donate/contribute! Thank you in advance!
